'I Still Believe In Miracles': Petros Krommidas' Mother Pleads For Divers To Restart Search For Missing Son
The Nassau County Legislative candidate from Baldwin has been missing since April 23.

BALDWIN, NY — The mother of a missing county legislative candidate is still keeping hope alive, despite no signs of her son since his disappearance in Long Beach two months ago.
"Not a single day has gone by without searching, praying and dealing with cruel fake ransom scams," Maria Krommidas posted to Facebook on Sunday.
Petros Krommidas was last seen on April 23 when he went swimming in Long Beach. In the days and weeks that followed, volunteers combed the nearby shoreline with divers and drones in search of him.

Since Krommidas' went missing he turned 30 and his family has remained committed to finding him. His mother's post reflects a mix of hope and anguish.
She said that in the past 10 days she has reached to divers and diving search, but has gotten no replies.

"I understand how much people have already done, and how life keeps moving, but as a mother, I have to ask again. We feel there is still hope," she said. "If you are a diver, I please ask you to take a look. You may spot something that others have missed. I still believe in miracles and have faith in our community."
