Jan. 12: 'Jam it Out' at Press 195; Chi-Gong at the Library

It's Wednesday, which we all know is the "hump" day of the week. Get through today and the weekend is around the corner! But don't let Wednesday get you down; there's plenty going on in Rockville Centre to keep you busy.

1. Is your child heading into high school in September?  is hosting an orientation for current eighth graders, where they can come down to the high school, find out about schedules and what to expect when they make the leap into high school.

2. If you want to start your weekend a little early, head down tofor "Jam it Out" Wednesdays. Enjoy acoustic entertainment by local Rich Grey and drink specials from 8-11 p.m.

3. If you're interested in a healthier lifestyle, and prefer non-conventional methods to achieve it, go down to the Rockville Centre Public Library between 10:30-11:30 a.m. and join instructor Marianna Farina for Chi Gong — an ancient Chinese healing art based on meditative movement and breathing techniques.
