Jan. 21: Village Open Houses, Shabbat Dinner at Central Synagogue

Friday's here! So what are your plans for the weekend? If you don't have any as of yet, let us tell you what's happening in RVC today/tonight, and start your weekend off right.

1.  is hosting a Shabbat dinner in the Kahn Auditorium at 6 p.m. The fee is $20, but you must call  (516) 766-5158 to make a reservation.

3. boy's basketball looks to extend its undefeated conference record to 7-0 at Bethpage tonight at 6:30 p.m. The girl's hoops team will host Bethpage at the high school at 7 p.m., so pick a game and support the Cyclones!

4. Don't forget! If you're a fan of yoga, or a skeptic who wants to try it out,  is offering free classes through Saturday! You can sample Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Gentle Yoga and Yoga Kids. Donations will be accepted to raise funds for a community member suffering from Lyme Disease. Interested? Call 516-458-0004.

5. Are your teens/tweens bored on Friday nights? Take them to , the Merrick Road skate rink on the border of RVC and Lynbrook, which offers free skating from 7-9:30 p.m. for kids between 10-14. There are no adults allowed in the building except for chaperones.
