Jan. 9: Creative Writing Workshop at Library; Free Play at Rec for Kids With Special Needs
Take a look at what's going on around RVC this Sunday.

1. Help the Rockville Centre Public Library celebrate the retirement of Anita LaSpina, head of Children's Services and Ruth Black, Principal Library Clerk and join in thanking them for their many years of hard work and dedication. The party is from 2-4 p.m. at the RVC Library.
2. Does your teen need an outlet for their creative writing skills? Kids in grades 7-12 are invited to the RVC library from 3-4 p.m. for a creative writer's workshop to create, discuss and share their work.
3. Do you have a child with special needs? Do they want to cut loose and have a little fun? Head down to the Rockville Centre Recreation Center between 2:30-4 p.m. for some free play for children with special needs and their siblings. Ages 5 and over please. The program is sponsored by Nassau-Suffolk Chapter of the Autism Society of America. Reservation is required as space is limited. Contact Paul Lawless mplawless@verizon.net if interested.

4. St. Mark's United Methodist Church hosts an open morning worship service at 10 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.
