March 23: BOE Meeting, Baseball Preview and Hard Rock Concert

Wednesday is here, which means we're pretty much halfway through the work week. Get through today and the weekend is around the corner! With that in mind, here are five things you should know about today. 

1. The Board of Education meets tonight at 8:30 p.m. at to discuss the 2011-12 budget. Come down and find out how your tax dollars are being spent.

2. Spring sports are back at the high school! Patch will be previewing this season's teams, and the boy's baseball team is next on deck. Find out how the newly-aligned conferences can help South Side make a run at a conference title.

3. Seniors from the Sandel Center plan on protesting cuts to the center's funding at the next village board meeting. Find out 

4. The Village Board meets tomorrow at for a public briefing session at 7 p.m., followed by the RVC FD's presentation request for a $21 million bond at 8:30 p.m. To find out some background on the presentation, .

5. If you're a fan of hard rock and want to listen to some local talent rock a concert,  will be hosting a show from 5-11 p.m. Hard Rock groups from local communities will be performing, and tickets are $12 at the door.
