March 30: Self Defense Seminar, Board Candidates and Village Hall Recap

Wednesday is here, which means we're pretty much halfway through the work week. Get through today and the weekend is around the corner! With that in mind, here are five things you should know about today.

1. The Village Board met last night to discuss the 2011-12 budget. In case you missed it, we'll post a recap of what happened at the meeting at 10 a.m.

2. Are you a woman who wants to learn how to protect yourself? is hosting a women's self-defense seminar today at 3 p.m. It is free to attend.

3. The Rockville Centre United Party recently released its candidates for the village board seats that are up for grabs in the June election. Find out who they are when their profiles post at 3 p.m.
