May 3: BOE Meeting, 100 Things and HS Sports in Action

It's Tuesday, which means there's only three more days until the weekend! Don't worry though, there's plenty going on today to get your mind off work, so get involved.  

1. The Board of Education meets tonight at 8:30 a.m. at the high school for its final budget meeting. If there's something in the budget that you want to speak on, this is your last chance before the May 17 vote, so let your voice be heard.

3. After the news of Osama bin Laden's death, local editor Anthony Bottan interviewed village families who lost loved ones on 9/11. Find out how after hearing the news of his death.

4. We had to hold the video of Saturday night's Monte Carlo night at the Sandel Senior Center, but it will post today! Watch who hit it big at the annual fundraiser when it posts at noon.

5. Three South Side High School teams are in action today. Varsity baseball plays Division at 4:30 p.m. in Levittown, varsity softball takes on Lawrence at home at 4:30 p.m. and varsity boy's lacrosse faces Wantagh at 4:15 p.m. Pick a game and cheer on the Cyclones!
