Organic Eatery Chain Donates Meals To Coronavirus-Hit Hospitals
The healthy food company is delivering lunches and is welcoming other in-need hospitals to request delivery.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Organic Krush, a healthy food chain with five locations on Long Island, began delivering lunches and baked goods to local hospitals to support healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic this week. The company is asking any human resources departments in need to contact them to arrange for their hospital to be added to the deliveries.
The hospitals that received the lunches this week were NYU Winthrop Hospital and Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital at North Shore University Hospital. "Each Organic Krush store —in Woodbury, Plainview, Roslyn, Rockville Centre, Amagansett— will be donating lunch for about ten people every other week, and will be dropping off any extra baked goods and juices they have on hand," Kayla Riley, a representative for Organic Krush, told Patch.
Organic Krush is also offering a 10 percent discount to all healthcare professionals.
