Police ID Man Killed In Nassau House Fire
The man, 83, died when his home became engulfed in flames on Monday, police say.
ISLAND PARK, NY — The man who died in a house fire in Island Park on Monday has been identified as George Urich, 83, Nassau police said in an update on Friday.
A home on Sunset Avenue became engulfed in flames during the overnight hours on Monday, police said. The Island Park Fire Department, Long Beach Fire Department and other areas departments to extinguish the blaze.
Urich's body was recovered from the home that day and brought to the Medical Examiner's office for identification.
