Rockville Centre Is One Of The Most Expensive Places To Rent

A recent study by Apartment Guide found that Rockville Centre, and other L.I. communities, are among the most expensive in the country.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — A recent study found that Rockville Centre is one of the most expensive places for renters to live in the country, with monthly rents that would make people in other parts of the country gasp.

Apartment Guide just released its list of the 50 most expensive places to rent in the U.S., and Rockville Centre placed in the middle of the pack at No. 28. Many other Long Island communities were also on the list.

Rockville Centre had an average rent of $3,244.

All of the most expensive places were located on the coasts, which isn't much of a surprise. Most were in the New York and Los Angeles metropolitan areas, as well as Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale in Florida.

The most expensive place to rent in the country is in Culver City, California, which has an average rent of $5,207. New York City came in second with a rent of $4,510.
