RVC Debuts Online Registration For Rec Center Programs

You can now register from home instead of waiting on line at the Rec Center.

Since the Village of Rockville Centre recently launched its new, updated website, the village is now offering online registration for most programs at the Recreation Center, saving parents a trip to sign their kids (or themselves) up for events and classes.

Residents should visit rockvillecentre.recdesk.com to sign up. Registration for the Fall Program season begins on Monday, Aug. 13 at 8 a.m. Residents are encouraged to create their “Family Profile” on the site ahead of time so that the registration process will be quick and easy on Aug. 13. You can also purchase your Recreation Membership in advance. Check out the Individual or new Family Membership options. Program registration cannot be completed without a current membership.

The RecDesk has lots of features that will let you manage the programs for your family:

  • You can check the list of offerings based upon day of the week, age or interest. The list will include a detailed description of the activity, how many spaces remain and the class meeting calendar.
  • The activity calendar gives a quick color-coded overview of the daily schedule of activities
  • You can log on to your profile at any time to view the classes for which you have registered and to review your transaction history.
  • Email reminders and announcements of upcoming events will be sent to members.

As always, you may still register in person at the Recreation Center. Whether you choose on-line or in-person registration, it is important to create your Family Profile in advance. A small convenience fee is applied to online registrations.

The Recreation Center is also offering some new programs this season: Ninja Challenge, Power Up Your Mind, Family Ping Pong, and Dodgeball to name a few. JColes Hip Hop Dance lessons and Jake Berman SAT Prep classes are also new to the Recreation Center family. Due to popular demand, the Nursery School program has grown to include three 3-year-old classes, two 4-year-old classes and two Time-For-Two’s classes.
