OCEANSIDE, NY — Nurses at Mount Sinai South Nassau are seeking their contract since unionizing with the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA).

They are planning to hold an "informational picket" on Monday, according to a release sent by the union.

In January 2023, nurses at the Oceanside hospital voted to join the union. Management delayed the nurses organizing for nearly a year, and fired a nurse for union activity, a spokesperson for the union said.
