Memorial Day is a way for residents to pay tribute to men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country.
Rockville Centre is hosting its annual Memorial Day parade and service Monday in memory of those who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The new route has the parade starting at South Side High School. The parade will then carry on westward on Shepherd Street to North Long Beach Road. From there, it will move south on North Long Beach Road to Oceanside Road and then south on Oceanside Road to the Rockville Centre Recreation Center.
