1 Hudson Valley ZIP Code Among 100 Most Expensive In U.S.
A new study from PropertyShark ranked home prices in one Hudson Valley neighborhood as one of the priciest addresses in the entire U.S.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There is no question that real estate in the Hudson Valley demands a steep price, but a just-released study found one Hudson Valley ZIP code is among the most expensive in the entire country.
Real Estate market-watcher PropertyShark calculated median sale prices based on closed home sales, to identify the 100 most expensive ZIP codes in 2024. One Westchester County community was listed as among the very highest priced.
The 10580 ZIP code in Rye is ranked 70 on the list, with a listed median sale price of $2.2 million. This is an improvement compared to 2023's ranking of number 100 with a median sale price of $1.8 million, 2022's ranking of number 89 with a median sale price of $1.873 million, and 2021's ranking of number 72 with a median sale price of $1.9 million.

While the 10577 ZIP code in Purchase did not make the list this year, it ranked 64 on the list in 2023 and came in at number 88 in 2021.
In order to determine the most expensive ZIP codes, PropertyShark said that it considered all home transactions that were closed between January 1 and September 30. The full "100 Most Expensive U.S. Zip Codes in 2024" report can be found here.

Due to multiple ties, 121 ZIP codes made this year's list. California claimed 80 of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country, the most of any state. New York had the second most with 19 ZIP codes making the list.
PropertyShark analysts said the main trend of the year was one of "cautious growth for luxury real estate."
Following last year's decline in prices, 67 percent of the country's 100 most expensive ZIP codes saw median sale prices increase in 2024, compared to only 29 percent in 2023. This resulted in a record 15 ZIP codes with median sale prices of $4 million and above and only 15 stayed below $2 million.
Atherton, California remains the most expensive ZIP code in the U.S. for the 8th consecutive year, with a median sale price of $7.9 million. Sagaponack came in at number 2 with a median sale price of $5.95 million, while Water Mill ranked number 3 with a median sale price of $5.885 million. NYC claimed six of the country’s most expensive zip codes, according to the report.
