2 Hudson Valley ZIP Codes Among 100 Most Expensive In Country
A new study from PropertyShark ranked home prices in a pair of Hudson Valley neighborhoods as two of the priciest addresses in the U.S.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — There is no question that real estate in the Hudson Valley demands a steep price, but a just released study found two Hudson Valley ZIP codes were among the most expensive in the entire country.
PropertyShark's annual ranking of the 100 priciest ZIP codes in the U.S. listed two Westchester County communities among the very highest priced. The 10580 ZIP code in Rye is ranked 72 on the list, with a listed median sale price of $1.9 million. The 10577 ZIP code in Purchase is ranked 88 with a median home sale price of $1.7 million.
In order to determine the most expensive ZIP codes, PropertyShark said that it considered all home transactions that were closed between set dates in January and October of last year. The full "100 Most Expensive U.S. Zip Codes in 2021" report can be found here.

"Compiled by calculating median home sale prices to ensure an accurate picture of market conditions (as opposed to listing prices that reflect sellers’ wishes), this year’s edition highlights the ever-increasingly competitive residential markets of economically vital urban centers," according to the Property Shark report.
California claimed 89 of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country — the most of any state. New York had the second most with 17 ZIP codes making the list. The study found that while the prices of the most expensive homes increased dramatically in suburban areas near major cities, including Long Island and the Hudson Valley, the median home price in Manhattan's Upper East Side actually deceased by roughly a million dollars.
