RYE, NY — A historic Rye property has sold for a historic price and a familiar Rye face closed the record-setting sale.

Global Luxury Specialist Michèle Flood closed on the 859 Forest Ave. property in Rye on Thursday for $12,250,000, Coldwell Banker Realty announced. She represented the buyer in the transaction, which is the fifth priciest waterfront home ever sold in the city of Rye, according to One Key MLS.

"This is a rare and elegant offering… a 100-year-old brick center hall estate on three acres of open waterfront with a pool and dock, in the heart of coveted Milton Point," Flood said. "It was a pleasure to represent my client in the purchase of their spectacular new home."
