• School News, December 18, Sag Harbor (27east.com) — Sag Harbor’s Pierson High School Environmental Club recently spent a day restoring dunes at Long Beach, spreading native seed bombs and planting beach grass with local conservation partners. Their work helps protect nearby roads and beaches while giving students hands-on experience in caring for the local coastline.
   

• ‘Steal This Story, Please!' Takes the 2025 Audience Award at Hamptons Doc Fest (27east.com) — Hamptons Doc Fest, held at Sag Harbor Cinema and Bay Street Theater, awarded its 2025 Audience Award to “Steal This Story, Please!”, a documentary about journalist Amy Goodman. Filmmakers praised the Sag Harbor screening as “magical” and highlighted how the film champions independent journalism and free speech, with locals able to rewatch festival Q&As online and catch “Democracy Now!” on LTV.
