• Civic center to host SLHS alumni hockey games (adirondackdailyenterprise.com) — Saranac Lake High School hockey alumni will hit the ice again on December 26 at the Saranac Lake Civic Center, with the girls’ game at 2 p.m. and the boys’ at 3:30 p.m. Former players can pre-register online for $20, while spectators can enjoy the long-running holiday tradition for free and cheer on familiar faces reconnecting on the ice.

• A community's generosity (adirondackdailyenterprise.com) — Saranac Lake Holiday Helpers are filling the Saranac Lake Baptist Church gym with toys, clothes and food baskets to give local children and families a brighter Christmas this Saturday. Organizers say community donations from residents, churches, agencies and businesses have created an “unbelievable” trove of gifts, especially meaningful as some families struggle with housing and may have few other presents.
• Technology asistance workshops available (adirondackdailyenterprise.com) — Older adults in Saranac Lake and the Tri-Lakes can sign up now for Mercy Care’s next technology assistance workshop in February, which will help with online benefits and health portals. The nonprofit also offers iPads on permanent loan and monthly one-on-one tech help, plus a February volunteer training in Tupper Lake for residents who want to support local seniors.
