Regeneron gets $46M in incentives for new Saratoga Springs facility (wnyt.com) — A massive Regeneron project is moving forward in Saratoga Springs, with Saratoga County’s IDA approving $46 million in tax breaks for a new facility at the former Quad Graphics site. The company plans a $2 billion investment, hundreds of construction jobs, and about 1,000 permanent positions, pending final city approvals. Renovations could begin early next year and last several years. 
2. How a woman's death sparked Code Blue shelters in Saratoga Springs 12 years ago (news10.com) — Code Blue shelters in Saratoga Springs, created after Nancy Pitts froze to death downtown in 2013, are now full for the season and serving about 300 people a year. Shelters of Saratoga is stretching limited resources over longer, colder winters while opening new space on Boston Avenue. Residents are encouraged to support the program, which relies on government funding and community donations.
3. Troy man charged with multiple counts of rape (news10.com) — Local authorities say part of a series of alleged sexual offenses involving a Troy man took place in Saratoga Springs on November 24, with additional incidents reported in Milton. The 21-year-old suspect faces multiple felony charges, including rape and disseminating indecent material to minors, and is being held in Saratoga County Jail pending further court proceedings.

December 15 recap: Glens Falls news you may have missed today (poststar.com) — A regional news roundup includes a highlight for Saratoga Springs families: The Children’s Museum at Saratoga plans to turn into a “winter wonderland” when school is out. 5. Duty Calls: Saratoga County woman takes command of New York Naval Militia (timesunion.com) — A Saratoga County resident, Rear Adm. MaryEtta Nolan, has taken command of the 3,250-member New York Naval Militia, becoming the first woman to hold the post. Nolan, who once worked at Saratoga Surgery Center in Saratoga Springs, brings decades of Navy Reserve and nursing experience to leading the state’s patrol-boat fleet and disaster-response missions.
