• 11-year-old from Cairo becomes New York Ranger for a day through Make-A-Wish charity (timesunion.com) — An 11-year-old Cairo goalie who plays for the Saugerties Mustangs and in the Saugerties-based Junior Rangers program got to sign a one-day contract with the New York Rangers and skate at Madison Square Garden. Through Make-A-Wish and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, he met star goalie Igor Shesterkin, joined the team for the national anthem, and collected autographs after the game.
