BAYPORT, NY — Bayport-Blue Point residents have spoken.
The Bayport-Blue Point School District's proposed budget of $83,453,366 with a budget-to-budget increase of a 3.07 percent and a tax levy increase of 3.82 percent has passed with 1,049 votes for "yes" and 463 votes for "no."
In the race for Board of Education, three candidates ran for two spots. Michael Miller (incumbent), who received 970 votes, won against challenger Ian D. Savage, who received 493 votes.

Jessica Pignataro, also incumbent, and ran unopposed, received 1,002 votes.
Miller and Pignataro will serve a three-year term.
