Child Porn Charges For Long Island Man: Police
A Long Island man was arrested for possession of child pornography and other related charges, Suffolk County police say.
BLUE POINT, NY — A Long Island man was arrested for possession of child pornography and other charges, according to Suffolk County police.
Michael Chiarelli , 25, of Blue Point, was arrested around 8:50 a.m. after police executed a search warrant for his home where they found pornographic images depicting children on electronic devices, police said.
Chiarelli was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16, both felonies, police said.

He is being held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 10, police said.
Police said they investigated Chiarelli following a tip from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
