Man Orders $4K Drill, Leaves Bayport Business Without Paying: Police

The man's fraudulent order was worth more than $4,000, police say.

BAYPORT, NY — A man who placed a $4,300 order at a Bayport business and left without paying is currently sought after by Suffolk County Police.

On Feb. 21 at about 3:30 p.m., a man entered Ferguson Enterprise, located at 900 Sylvan Ave. He placed a fraudulent order for a Milwaukee MX Fuel Hand Core drill and left without paying, police said. The man then fled in a gold Toyota Camry.

The merchandise was valued at about $4,300.

He faces grand larceny charges, police said.
