SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Suffolk County residents lined up at the polls on Tuesday to choose their pick for the 8th Legislative District.

With no districts left to be counted, according to unofficial Suffolk County Board of Elections results, the winner was incumbent Anthony Piccirillo with 13,262 votes, or 69.43 percent.

Challenger Heather Gallagher obtained 5,825 votes, or 30.49 percent.
