The Junior Naturalist Program, designed for kids in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th, consists of 4 six-week sessions. Sessions can be signed up for independent of each other, but to achieve the Junior Naturalist title, students must complete all 4 badges.
While earning the Conservationist Badge, students will consider ways they can be environmental stewards through conservation action. These middle schoolers will look behind the scenes at sustainable practices at the Nature Center and across various fields, including food systems and fashion. Junior Naturalists will think about climate change and practices that can lessen humans’ impact on the environment.
