• Undefeated Seaford Soccer Team Honored By BOE (patch.com) — Seaford residents can celebrate a huge win for local student-athletes: Seaford High School’s girls soccer team went undefeated in the regular season and captured the Class A Nassau County title, earning recognition from the Board of Education. Players were praised for both dominance on the field and strong academics, while longtime coach Ken Botti was honored as coach of the year. 
• Seaford man killed in 1-vehicle crash on Southern State (newsday.com) — A 50-year-old Seaford man died after his pickup struck a stone wall on the Southern State Parkway near the Newbridge Road overpass late Sunday night, according to state police. Troopers say he was speeding and not wearing a seat belt when the truck left the roadway and blocked two lanes before he was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
• Drunk New York Police Officer Slams Head-on Into Garbage Truck (motorbiscuit.com) — An off-duty Nassau County police officer driving the wrong way on Route 135 near Exit 4 in Seaford collided head-on with a garbage truck early Monday morning, sending four people to the hospital with minor injuries. The officer was arrested at the scene on a DWI charge, and investigators are still reviewing details such as speed and blood alcohol level. Local drivers may notice ongoing police activity as the investigation continues.
