2 Queens Residents Nabbed In Massage Parlor Raid In Middle Island: Police

They were charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, and prostitution, a misdemeanor, police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — Two people from Queens were arrested during a massage parlor raid in Middle Island on Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

A 35-year-old and a 40-year-old, both from Flushing, were charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, a felony, and prostitution, a misdemeanor, during an investigation at Evolve Spa, Inc. on Middle Country Road, according to police.

Both were issued Desk Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

It happened during a joint operation between officers from the 7th Precinct Crime Section in Shirley, and the Town of Brookhaven's Fire Marshal's office and code enforcement inspectors, police said.
