3 Gambling Devices Found At Convenience Store In Shirley: Police
The check was conducted by 7th Precinct Crime section officers in response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — The manager of a convenience store in Shirley was busted for having electronic gambling devices on Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
Crime Section officers from the 7th Precinct in Shirley found three electronic gambling devices in the rear of the store in an inspection check at Lucky Smoke Shop and Beer on Floyd Road at around 4 p.m., and they were seized, according to police.
The Brookhaven Fire Marshal's office also issued numerous summonses for violations of the state fire code violations, according to police.

The manager of the store, a 30-year-old from Selden, was charged with possession of a gambling device and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
