  1. Northforker looks at a new B&B in Brookhaven hamlet created by actress Isabelli Rossellini on Mama Farm, a 28-acre estate. Her home is an old barn converted into a living space with an indoor pool. (Northforker)
  2. Patch tells us that a Blue Point man tested positive for cocaine after his pickup truck crashed into a car killing a man last month. Robert Hengeveld, 50, was driving a stolen 2004 Toyota Tacoma on Long Island Avenue in Holtsville when a Suffolk police officer tried to stop him on Oct. 19. He then crashed into and killed Starlin Manuel Diaz Felipe, 19, of Medford. (Patch)
  3. Nicholas Grasso tells us that the Scalamander Cove apartment complex planned for Middle Island has been approved. After 15 years, the project to build 96 one- and two-bedroom apartments at the intersection of Rocky Point and Middle Country roads got conditional approval this week. (Greater Long Island)
