Death Of Woman Found Outdoors In Long Island Neighborhood Probed: Police
She was found Saturday morning, Suffolk police say.
LONG ISLAND, NY — Detectives are investigating the circumstances around a woman who was found dead outdoors in a waterfront neighborhood on Long Island on Saturday morning, Suffolk police said.
Officers were called to the scene at around 11:12 a.m. on Riviera Drive in Mastic Beach, and her cause of death has not been determined, according to police.
Neighbors on social media reported that there was a heavy police presence, as well as a command post in the area of Riviera and Cranberry drives.

The waterfront neighborhood includes marshy wetlands and Cranberry Dock, which is a popular spot for fishermen, walkers, and bicyclists, as well as sightseers.
Police declined to release any further information.
