Elderly Man Seriously Hurt In Long Island Home Fire Dies: Police
Suffolk police said the 79-year-old died Tuesday.
MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — The elderly man, who was seriously hurt in a Middle Island home fire last week, has died, Suffolk police said Tuesday.
The fire broke out at the Monet Court home at around 8:12 p.m. on Nov. 20, police said.
Arthur Ziomek, 79, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries, according to police.

A preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature, according to police.
Arson Squad detectives are investigating, police said.
