1. The town of Brookhaven is inviting the public to attend the Black History Night celebration on Friday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will be performances, an art exhibit, food and more at the Brookhaven Town Hall. All are welcome. (Town of Brookhaven)
2. Mill Road in Yaphank was closed on Wednesday due to a single-vehicle crash. Police reported a Chevrolet Suburban struck a utility pole at 11 p.m. PSE&G workers arrived at the local to fix the damage. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries. (Patchogue Patch)
