Fire Breaks Out At Mastic Beach Home Early Sunday Morning
The Arson Squad was called to the scene, Suffolk police say.
MASTIC BEACH, NY — A fire broke out at a Mastic Beach home early Sunday morning, drawing area firefighters, authorities said.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. while no one was home, Suffolk police said.
"While you were asleep early this morning we received a call for a structure fire with flames visible," the Mastic Beach Fire Department wrote on its Facebook page. "The house was thought to be occupied but upon searching no one was found."

The fire was confined to one area of the house, including the attic, and a "quick attack was initiated," the post continued.
The Brookhaven and Ridge fire departments provided mutual aid, and Mastic Beach Ambulance was on standby to evaluate fire personnel, according to the post.

No one was injured.
Arson is investigating, police said.
It was one of two locally that firefighters responded to on Sunday.
A second fire broke out at around 7:35 a.m. in Mount Sinai.
