Snow Could Impact Post-Thanksgiving Travel On Long Island
The s-word has entered the forecast.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The weather for holiday traveling Wednesday and Thanksgiving itself is about as good as you can expect this time of year. If you are hitting the road Sunday, though, you may want to do it earlier in the day. Forecasters are watching a low pressure system that could bring the first snowflakes of the season to Long Island.
"There is the potential for a light rain/snow to snow event," the National Weather Service says of Sunday night into Monday.
There's still lots of turkey and leftovers to be consumed before Sunday rolls around, though, and snow is far from certain.

Whether it snows and accumulates or not in the I-95 corridor of the Northeast all depends on the track and last-minute strength of a clipper storm which was barely a tiny ripple in the jet stream over the northern Pacific Ocean as of Wednesday, AccuWeather says.
Newest 18z GFS continues to show snowfall for the northeast on Sunday night into Monday. I definitely do think some people could be seeing their first snowflakes. However, the extent of it is yet to be determined. Accumulating snow of more than an inch possible? Maybe... pic.twitter.com/I1NdAZ8wfM

Something to watch: Euro ensembles are hinting at some sort of near-coastal low development/double-barrel low late Sunday. Evident by clustering. Nothing HUGE anticipated attm, but may be worth watching for snow-lovers next 24-48hrs. pic.twitter.com/4a6D0An5ky
