  1. Suffolk police are asking the public's help to identify a suspect who stole jewelry from the Walmart store. The security cameras show the man leaving the location in Middle Island with approximately $25,000 worth of jewelry. Visit the link to see a picture of the suspect and help police to identify him.   2. William Floyd High School students are helping 42 families in need this holiday. The group held an “adopt-a-family” drive in which they collected $800 in gift cards and a box truck filled with toys. The goodies will be distributed by Colonial Youth & Family Services. (Patch)
  3. A Long Island entrepreneur died in a tragic fire in Dix Hills. First responders arrived at the scene a little after 2:53 a.m. on Wednesday. Two officers tried to save her, but the flames were too intense and she died before the fire was under control. (Greater LI)
