Home Goods Proposed For Michaels At South Port Shopping Center In Shirley
The shopping center's owner plans to remodel the space and seek "a small expansion" of the building, Supervisor Dan Panico says.

SHIRLEY, NY — A Home Goods store has been proposed for the spot that the craft store Michaels will leave soon at South Port Shopping Center in Shirley, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Dan Panico said Wednesday in a post to Facebook.
The shopping center's owner plans to remodel the space and will seek "a small expansion" of the building for the newly proposed store, according to Panico.

In other news, Starbucks is moving forward in the adjoining shopping center with Applebee's and Walgreens. There are plans for Five Guys to take over space in the center, as well.
There is still no word on what will happen with the shuttered Boston Market across the street on the west side of William Floyd Parkway.
