Jersey Mike's Subs To Open In Suffolk On April 26

SHIRLEY, NY — Jersey Mike’s Subs will open at its newest Long Island location in Shirley in April.

The 800 Montauk Highway location was originally planned to open by the end of March, but now the date has been moved to April 26.

Franchise owners Spencer and Nancy Hart are planning a grand opening and fundraiser to run from opening day through April 30 to support Long Island Cares. Customers who receive a special fundraising coupon to the opening can make a minimum $3 contribution to the organization in exchange for a regular sub.

Customers must have a coupon to participate.

Spencer Hart said he and Nancy are very excited to bring Jersey Mike’s to Shirley.

“We think that Jersey Mike’s will be a great addition to the local community," he said. "We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with Long Island Cares, improving food security for families throughout Long Island.”

Jersey Mike’s Subs first opened in 1956 and now has over 2,500 locations nationwide. Its mission statement is “Giving…making a difference in someone’s life."

Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised over $110 million for local charities. In 2023, its 13th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised $21 million for over 200 local charities.

Guests can place orders in-store or for pickup on the website or through the restaurant's app.

Jersey Mike’s meats and cheeses are premium quality and sliced on the spot, then piled high on bread baked in the store. Some popular subs include Mike’s Way, which has onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a red wine vinegar and an olive oil-blend sauce.

Its cheesesteaks are grilled fresh on the spot.
