  1. The jury has been selected for the upcoming trial of Angela Polina, the ex-fiancé of officer Michael Valva. Polina is facing charges of second-degree murder for her alleged involvement in Thomas Valva's death in 2020. According to persecutors, she was the one who sent Thomas and his brother to sleep in an unheated garage of the family's home in Center Moriches for months before Thoma's death. (News12)
  2. The MMSC Library-Mastic Breach will offer Mr. B's Book Buffet to kids ages birth-grade 6 on Friday, Feb. 24, at 4 p.m. Kids will have the chance to read classics and new literature. Snacks will be provided. You don't need to register. (MMSCL)
  3. Police are asking for leads to find the person responsible for stealing a WWI machine gun displayed on the roof of the Bay Shore Marine Corps League Detachment located on Sunrise Highway.
