Latest LI Dairy Queen To Break Ground Soon In Suffolk: Town

The restaurant expects to begin construction depending on the weather, town councilman says.

MASTIC, NY — Long Island's newest Dairy Queen will soon break ground in Mastic, according to Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico.

In a Facebook update to his constituents in the 6th Council District, the councilman captioned a photo of the popular ice cream treat, saying, "blizzards are coming to our area."

The restaurant will soon break ground on the east side of Carpet Express on Montauk Highway, according to Panico's post.

"I’ve posted about this project in the past, but they have indicated they will soon break ground in a matter of days, depending on the weather," he concluded.
