Long Island Woman Caught Driving With With 52 Driver's License Suspensions: PD

She was pulled over by an officer after she was seen driving a vehicle with no license plate, Suffolk police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — A woman in Shirley was caught driving with 52 license suspensions, Suffolk police said Wednesday.

A Highway Patrol officer began a traffic stop on eastbound Sunrise Highway, at Exit 58, after the woman was seen driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty that did not have a rear license plate at around 1 a.m., according to police.

It was later determined she has 52 license suspensions that were issued on 13 dates, police said.

The 37-year-old from Shirley, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, according to police.

The Jeep was impounded, police said.

She will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
