Long Island Man Nabbed For Child Porn Possession: Police

He exchanged the material using a peer-to-peer file sharing system, Suffolk police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — A Middle Island man was arrested Friday in connection with exchanging child sexual abuse material through the Internet, Suffolk police said.

Suffolk detectives from the Digital Forensics Unit, along with officers from the K-9 Section and 7th Precinct, and agents from Homeland Security executed a search warrant at the Longwood Road home of Brian Kazmierowski on March 28, according to police.

Detectives arrested Kazmierowski at around 6:15 p.m. on Friday for exchanging material
using a peer-to-peer file sharing system, and charged him with possessing a sexual performance by a child, and promoting the sexual performance by a child, police said.

Kazmierowski, 35, will be held overnight at the 6th Precinct in Selden and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

It was not immediately clear if he has legal representation.

The investigation is continuing, according to police.
