1. A free Halloween event will be hosted at the parking lot of the William Floyd High School on Saturday, Oct. 22. The Trunk or Treat will be hosted by Caitlyn’s Vision and Mastic Fire Department starting at 2 p.m. All are welcome! (Patch)
   
2. Registered voters who need to update their address have until Wednesday, Oct. 19, to do so. The update can be made at the local DMV in person or online at the Department of Motor Vehicles website. (Comsewogue Library)

• Nearby News: Cars were on fire at the BMW dealership located at Middle Country Road in St. James. Nesconset Fire Department controlled the flames that engulfed four vehicles on Sunday. No injuries were reported. (LI News12)
