Mastic Man Possessed, Shared Child Pornography: NYS Police

MASTIC, NY — A Mastic man accused of possessing and disseminating child pornography was arrested Wednesday, the New York State Police Department said.

Dylan Mulvihill, 30, was charged with three counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child, three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children and began investigating after obtaining a search warrant in Suffolk County Court, police said.

The New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit executed the search warrant at 6 a.m. Wednesday and seized computers, cell phones, USB, and hard drives that police said contain evidence.

Mulvihill is scheduled to be arraigned at Suffolk County First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
