  1. There will be a special food drive for February at the MMSCL-Mastic Branch. Non-perishable food items can be donated to the library throughout Feb. 28. The food will be donated to local pantries. (Patch Events)

  3. The man who killed a couple in a car crash while driving intoxicated has been sentenced to twelve years in prison. The 28-year-old man was high on drugs and alcohol when he struck the couple's car on Second Avenue in Brentwood. (Daily Voice)

  • "A Selden woman was sentenced to two to six years in prison Monday for pilfering over $340,000 from the small, family-owned business where she worked for about three years, Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney's office said Friday." (Patch)
