Here are the top four stories in Shirley-Mastic today:
- Mastics-Moriches-Shirley library on William Floyd Parkway has been demolished. Unfortunately, structural problems were identified, which means extra work will have to be done and the reopening had to be pushed toward the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- A man from Medford was arrested for allegedly committing multiple crimes in the area, including a gas station robbery in Yaphank. Police received several tips which helped to identify and locate the suspect. He also accused of burglarizing homes and stealing catalytic converters in Suffolk County. (Patch)
