Old Navy To Open At South Port Shopping Center Sometime In Late Fall

SHIRLEY, NY — Old Navy is planning to open in South Port Shopping Center in Shirley in the late fall, a spokesperson said.

The vacant storefront, which is located on the east side of the property, housed Modell's Sporting Goods up until shortly after the pandemic.

For the past two fall seasons, the location has housed the pop-up Spirit Halloween.

Further details were not available from Old Navy.

Sixth Council District Councilman Dan Panico touched on the plans in a recent Facebook post.

He also said that a Planet Fitness location has been planned for the former Mandee's space on the west side of the property.

The owner of the shopping center is also submitting plans for facade improvements for three of the buildings that have the older facades which "haven’t been updated in quite some time," he said.

"All of this information is from the shopping center’s representative," he said.
