LONG ISLAND, NY — Due to ongoing erosion creating treacherous driving conditions, outer beach access at Smith Point County park has been restricted, Suffolk County Parks Department officials said late Monday night.

Closed sections are east of cuts two and three, according to a post on Facebook.

The restriction is to ensure the safety of all outer beach users.
