Pedestrian Struck On William Floyd Parkway Sunday Afternoon: Police
The 20-year-old man was taken to a local hospital, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — A 20-year-old man was struck on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
The pedestrian was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet just before noon on the parkway, near Beacon Street and Coraci Boulevard, after stepping around a parked bus and into the right lane of the northbound parkway, according to police.
He was taken to a local hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
