  1. A police officer was hit by an ambulance on Montauk Highway in Shirley. The officer was directing traffic after a crash near Garden Place at 7:18 p.m. Read the story here. (Shirley-Mastic Patch)
  2. On Sunday night, a three-vehicle crash was reported on Magnolia Drive on Mastic Beach. Police said the car responsible for the accident drove off from the scene and has not been identified. No injuries were reported in the incident. (Patch)

  • King Kullen workers are negotiating higher wages to avoid strikes. The grocery workers union reached an agreement and, if approved, will raise the salaries of employers of over twenty-five stores on Long Island. The proposal will be put on the vote next Friday. (News 12)
