  1. One of the guns used in a shooting in front of the house of NY gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin has been recovered by police. The man who was allegedly involved in the incident has been arrested. Click on the link the read Patch's full update of the case. (Patch)
  2. The Suffolk County Fire Marshal's Office offers the community free residence fire safety training. The event will have a three hour of duration with safety tips if a fire breaks out in a house. Register here to participate in this event. (Eventbrite)
  3. All in the neighborhood are welcome to join a nature meetup and hike at the Terrell River County Park at 43 Montauk Highway in Center Moriches.   • Halloween weekend was extra busy for the New York State Police. According to official reports, there were 189 arrests for DWI and around 11,000 tickets were issued. Police said these numbers are up 42 percent if compared to last year. (LI News12)
